Teamwork plays a major part in everything we do at Salzman. Our family history has contributed to a culture characterized by mutual respect, a willingness to share responsibility and a high degree of involvement by everyone to make sure commitments are kept and quality maintained. At Salzman we don’t just think of ourselves as co-workers, but as a family working together.
Harry D. Cockrell has worked in every level of the company during his 38-year tenure with Salzman International. He has ensured quality control of the raw materials and was involved in international sales before becoming a partner in 1984 and purchased the company in 1994.
The most rewarding aspect of Harry’s work is traveling throughout the world to work with some of the most respected people in the pharmaceutical industry. Harry also worked to grow the company into a leading supplier of animal by-products to the pharmaceutical industry.
Harry also volunteers with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an organization working with the U.S. Department of Defense to work with members of the National Guard and Military Reserve Unites and their employers.
H. Derek Cockrell oversees purchasing, sales and overall management of the company. He has been with Salzman International for 15 years and is rewarded knowing the products Salzman International creates help people all over the world.
In his spare time, Cockrell coaches football at Pleasant Valley Junior High, volunteers with the Festival of Trees, sits on community boards, plays sports and enjoys spending time with his two sons and his wife.
LeeAnne Waugaman oversees the daily operations of the Salzman office and warehouse.
A Salzman International team member since 2003, LeeAnne enjoys her work because Salzman products are used in the bioscience, research and pharmaceutical industries, making a difference on a global level.
Outside of work, LeeAnne has two children, enjoys traveling and is involved in various civic and charity organizations in the community.
